A focus group conversation with caregivers and young adults addressing wants, needs, and currently available resources for autism and mental health challenges.
About this Event
WHO: Parents, guardians, young adults, and service providers impacted by autism and co-occurring mental health challenges.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion is a focus of this effort. We encourage individuals who have not been in regular conversation about this issue to participate, including those with experience in the related fields of education, social service, and persons from underrepresented groups.
WHAT: A focus group conversation with caregivers and young adults to discuss wants, needs, and currently available resources for autism and mental health challenges. We are interested in learning about what families, individuals, and providers in the autism, developmental disability, and mental health fields want, need, and already have access to regarding resources and services.
Sanchia A Callender, Inc will host the roundtable conversation. Samantha Pierce of Neurodiversity Consulting will facilitate the discussion.
This focus group is part of the Autism and Mental Health Initiative of Central New York. Your feedback will be used to inform Sanchia A. Callender, Inc about ways to help families, individuals, and providers come together. Your priorities will help us collaborate, learn, and innovate to provide meaningful mental health services and supports to people with developmental disabilities.
